Saw the Push production on Saturday 12th May at Birmingham - the whole thing was stunning and Sylvie was breathe taking. The most wonderful dance performance I have ever seen. Please come back to Birmingham again soon.

I have wanted to see Sylvie Guillem dance since watching Broken Fall on TV. The performance was stunning. We had tickets for Saturday 12. I wish we had been on the Friday just so that I could have stayed to watch it all again on Saturday. Come back to the UK soon please.

On the website of La Biennale, it is indicated, among others (both in Italian and English): "Dancer Sylvie Guillem, one of the greatest ballerinas of our time, has been awarded the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement of the 8th International Festival of Contemporary Dance (Venice, 8 > 24 June 2012). The decision was made by the Board of Directors of the Biennale di Venezia, chaired by Paolo Baratta, upon recommendation of the artistic director for the Dance sector, Ismael Ivo. The awards ceremony for the Golden Lion will be held during the Festival, on 20 June in the Sala delle Colonne at Ca’ Giustinian, the headquarters of the Biennale (5 p.m.)."

Des articles dans "Le Parisien", "L'Express" entre autres, indiquent que comme l'avait annoncé dans un communiqué samedi la Biennale, organisatrice du 8ème festival international de danse contemporaine de Venise (où Sylvie présentera "6000 miles away), Sylvie "recevra un Lion d'or d'honneur lors du 8ème festival international de danse contemporaine de Venise, qui se tiendra du 8 au 24 juin". Il est indiqué que
"la remise du Lion d'or aura lieu le 20 juin. Dans le passé, cette récompense est allée à Merce Cunningham (1995), Carolyn Carlson (2006), Pina Bausch (2007) et William Forsythe (2010)".

i've been wanting to see this live and so unfortunate cannot fly out to europe soon enough. there's a good line up for that show and sylvie does a solo as well.

Da italiana sono molto delusa del comportamento della Scala, che immiserisce sempre più il suo cartellone di balletti avvilendo sia le professionalità che lì ci sono, sia il pubblico che non capisce quelle scelte idiote che non fanno certo bene alla danza.
Mai nella vita scorderò la Manon che hai danzato con Murru alla Scala nel gennaio-febbraio 2011.
Fu una folgorazione e da quel momento non ho fatto altro che seguirti.

Cette fois j'écrirai mon petit texte en français! Merci infiniment pour votre message, ça me touche vraiment, et je vous assure que c'est toujours un immense plaisir ce partage aussi entre passionnés ici sur tout ce qui concerne l'actualité de votre carrière. J'avoue que l'actualité par rapport au Festival Chekhov m'avait échappé, là je n'étais pas suffisamment rapide, il faut que je sois plus vigilant dans l'avenir!
Quant aux administrations des grandes compagnies de ballet en Europe et leur état actuel, je vous comprends parfaitement. L'essentiel et ce qui nous réjouit surtout c'est de savoir que vous continuez toujours avec la même passion et le même plaisir votre parcours exceptionnel et hors normes avec le répertoire de votre choix, les personnes avec lesquelles vous souhaitez travailler. Et cette passion, cette absence de compromis nous les ressentons aussi pleinement en tant que spectateurs chaque fois que nous avons ce privilège de vous voir sur scène et c'est un don si rare et si précieux.
Si les "petites personnes" qui se croient tout grands de grandes administrations, ont du mal à accepter ce don éclatant qui met aussi en cause les spectacles sans passion véritable qu'on nous sert de plus en plus dans pas mal de grandes scènes européennes à quelques exceptions près que dire? Tant pis pour eux.
En tout cas, je vous souhaite de tout mon coeur toute réussite dans vos prochains spectacles et tout le bonheur pour vous et pour vos proches.

First of all a big thank you to Nakis who seems to know everything and who is kind enough to announce it on the site. BUT there is one thing he does not know (:-)) and will please Naivete I am coming back in Moscow ( Tchekov Festival) in 2013 on June 19th,20th, 22nd, 23rd to dance 6 000 Miles away
Nakis I totally agree with your comments about the major Opera House. They all have not very talented persons as directors....
Thanks God I am able to do more or less what I want so it does not disturb me it is just annoying for the audience to see only bad things......Have a beautiful sunday All best wishes
