Don't think I ever filed an "old" profile. Anyway, born in the year of the tiger in Freetown, Sierra Leone, West Africa to parents of mixed heritage (Russian, Ukrainian, Crimean Tartar, Sierra Leonean and Lebanese.
Came across an article of Sylvie's many moons ago in Vogue magazine (she was still at the Paris Opera), and promised myself I would one day find out what all the hoopla was about. Forgot this vow until last year when I started (don't ask) to take ballet lessons, rediscovered Sylvie via her website, and have since become hopelessly obsessed.
Saw her at the ROH on 4/10/2004 ( my mother's birthday!)and now feel as though I should die, since my greatest wish, to see her dance has been fulfilled.
Am currently residing in New York, will be a nurse in another three years, whereupon I shall move with my husband to Europe and get some reprieve from this nomadic life...
